P2`s energetic day!!!!!! =D

Today we did science about different forms of energy. Later this week we will be presenting what we learned. We had a list of questions to answer the different forms of energy.

In the morning we had math, and then we had french and then we did questions about the book 4 feet 2 sandals.Then we had math/language and we played bingo

What Did We Do Today?

We started our day with doing some math on the smart board, we got something to do in groups of 2 on a chart paper we had to roll a dice and put the numbers on a number line it was fractions!!! Then in french we practised our french song La pizza in groups. After recess we read the book Four Feet Two Sandals and we did some silent and guided reading

Then we were in groups of 5 and we did a project on power we chose different power topics and then we had some questions and answered them.Then we gave our group our mark how we did and we wrote what we need to improve on.

After afternoon recess we did DPA for 15 mins then we came in watched a video on empathy named do they know its Christmas.After watching the video our day ended with silent reading and we went home. we had a good Thursday!!!!!!!!! :)

Science Inquiry

Hello Everyone!

We are now jumping into our Science Inquiry on Energy.  We are working on drafting a general inquiry question and will post that shortly.

Here are some of our learning goals for the unit:
* Learn about how we use energy and resources;
* Look at ways to save or conserve energy;
* Understand how energy can be changed;
* Know what renewable and non-renewable sources of energy are.

Grey cup madness

Today we went on a trip to the grey cup 100th anniversary. We made a class banner and did some football drills like going around a dummy and catching a ball and throwing it back to the person. After we went to the Eaton centre to eat our lunches. We also met Ms.Pike's dad at the Eaton centre. We went for a walk to Nathan Philips square and went inside a building that was part of the Municipal Government.  When we were about to go to Queens park we stopped at Tim Hortons and got hot chocolate.  From there we went to Queens park and there we saw a very old building. After that we went back to the bus and headed back to school.

Getting Ready For The Grey Cup!

Terrific Tue$day!!!!!!!!!

 On terrific Tuesday we  divided  subs  for math (not real subs pictures of subs on the smart board).We also read  our weekly story One Green Apple.  After lunch we went to the gym and we did some basketball drills then we played a basket ball game. It was really really really fun!!!!!! We all enjoyed the 2 periods of gym.We came back into the portable and did some silent reading to cool our selves down. We did health  with a supply teacher. We were learning about  the persuasive techniques used in advertisements.
                                             The day was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rememberance day !

Today is our Remembrance Assembly and we will Remember our Canadian solders who fought in war for our freedom .Our class will be responsible  for the assembly.This is our class wreath,  we read a book called A Child`s Garden and we did a q-chart for the book.
