Hello There!
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to make it to school today. My hives got really bad over night and I had to go and get more medicine to get rid of them. A big thank you to Madame Bernard and Mrs. Ryan for dancing to school with you. That was very nice of them to take my place. I hope you said that you appreciated what they did for you (and me).
I'm not going to be in for the rest of the week. The Doctor thinks that it's best that I stay home and hopefully the hives go away. I stopped into school today and got your math tests. I'll have them marked for you and returned to you on Monday. Mrs. S and Mr. Kendal will be with you for the rest of the week - Please be respectful to them (like you are to me) and try to be a little more quiet when you are doing group work.
I noticed that two of you left your band instruments on the floor...I've placed a little note for you read.
We will be starting to compare Early Civilizations during the next week. Please take some time to review some of the specific things that you know about each of the different civilizations (e.g., government, use of agriculture, geographical regions). You can find out some great information at the following sites:

Or you can do a Google search and find some other sites on your own.
Just for a fun view, here is a video that a Grade 6 class made about ancient civilizations. DO NOT download the product. Just click on the square in the upper right corner to start the video. It's short, but fun to see the things about the different civilizations.
