Science Review Questions

Hello Everyone!

Here are the questions that we created to help us study for our test on Energy on Wednesday.

Don't forget to use your info sheet that you created from our class presentations to help you as well.  I highly suggest you know about the forms of energy we studied, and know some things about them.

Happy Studying!

Ms. Pike :)

Science Test Review

Learning Goals:
  • Learn about how we use energy and resources
  • Look at ways to save or conserve energy
  • Understand how energy can be changed
  • Know what renewable and non renewable sources of energy are

Learn about how we use energy and resources

  • How does (a specific type of energy) work?
  • Solar, nuclear, geothermal, wind, hydroelectric, biomass, (types of energy)
  • How is (type of energy) used?
  • Where can you find (specific type of energy)?
  • What are some natural resources that provide energy?
  • What are some benefits to and cons of using alternative forms of energy?

Look at ways to save or conserve energy

  • We can use less energy
  • Turning off lights when you are out
  • Closing the tap when you brush your teeth
  • Using clotheslines to dry small batches of clothes
  • Using renewable energies:  geothermal, wind, solar, hydroelectric
  • Look for other ways to find renewable energies

Understand how energy can be changed
  • How can we use the energy from the sun to …..from the wind to…..
  • How many ways can (this type of energy) be changed?
  • What type of energy does (name) create?

Know what renewable and non renewable sources of energy are
  • What energy forms are renewable and non-renewable?
  • What do you think could be a future form of renewable energy and why would this be a good idea?
  • Define renewable and non-renewable forms of energy.
  • Can renewable energies be upgraded so that they use less materials?  Why or why not?
  • What changes or modifications need to be made in order for us to use solar power more effectively in our homes?
  • How could you change a non-renewable source into a renewable source of energy?
